xlr adapter

Hey everyone, I recently purchased an xlr apater and mount from adorama and it said it came with everything.
Well after looking I found out it was a used one but I figured whatever.
Now when it gets here I guess it is missing a part because I have no idea how to mount it to the camera.
When I look at pics I see everyone has a screw on the unit iteself and I dont have that so I figure I am missing whatever latches it to the camera.
Could anyone show me how it attaches, I couldnt find a good picture of that, and if you know what part number I need that would be even better !

Have you tried taking it up with Adorama themselves? Dunno about the US, but over here the supplier is obliged to replace the item or otherwise make amends if it is faulty.

Also, the part is described (not very helpfully) in the manual as:

Metal fitting (VYQ3157)

Also there are 2 "6mm length (flush head type) screws, XSS3+6FZ"
