XL2- Test shoot footage

looks really good... Didn't really like the overexposed window though.

what did you use to light? thought he room was lit really well

I purposely over exposed the window cus i like that kind of look. It was a night shoot and I used a 8x8 poly silk w/ 4 1k redheads. I used 2 650w betweenies for the rest.

Looks really nice Chayse....funny, there's an earlier film of mine on my Website called "Cascading" and I use that exact piece from Thomas Newman :)

cinderella man was great. Thomas newman's piece was easy to spot. i hadn't realized it was him but i pretty much knew it would be him once i heard.

anyway, nice work Chayse, looks solid.

I have never had the auto iris "turn on" when in manual mode...

Have you tried the 16X manual lens?

That is some of the best looking XL2 footage I have seen to date. SUper nice. I love the blow-out. The colors and lighting are top-notch. Great looking start.

Yeah, that's what i'm interested in...The post work. The footage was gorgeous. I like the overexposed window as well. You wouldn't know it was a night shoot. I assume this was in 24p. Looks great though.

That looked really awesome. I'm not usually a fan of badly overexposed windows, but it just looked right on this clip for some reason.

The colors and compositions were nice but the only thing that I didn't like is the actor. He just didn't look to intimidating enough. Was that you man? ;)

Chayse, what kind of post did you do on the footage if any?

Just did a little digital colour grade in final cut pro HD, and had a black to white colour grad on the CU of the cholo.

Thanks for the comments and questions.
