Hey everyone, I wanted to share a short film that was directed by NYC director Jon Truei and co-directed by Keith Min (one of our guys from LBP Stunts Chicago), which showcases his art form of the Chinese internal art, Xing Yi Quan. Keith and Jon came up with the concept for the fight and short, as well as Keith choreographing and doing action direction. Some great NYC stunt locals also came to help out. Please watch, and if you enjoy, please share! Many thanks!
This was shot on a Sony FS700, and took 2 days to shoot both the rooftop and group fight sequence.
A short film by Martial Arts Instructor Sifu Keith Min showcasing the Chinese Internal Kung Fu style, "Xing Yi Quan".
ABOUT XING YI:
Xing Yi Quan is an extremely powerful, direct, and practical fighting style. Its goal is to reach and drive through the opponent quickly, overwhelming them using bursts of aggressive, linear movement. The direct fighting philosophy of Xing Yi advocates simultaneous attack and defense, where efficiency and economy of movement are crucial to dominating an opponent.
ABOUT SIFU KEITH MIN:
Keith Min is a member of the Chicago-based LBP Stunts Chicago Action Team (http://www.lbpstuntschicago.com/), who most recently participated as core members of the stunt team for the upcoming action-adventure film DIVERGENT.
