XHA1 and Avid

Im just about to purr chase an XHA1 and wondered if anyone had edited this cam using Avid? I have Adrenaline at work and Express Pro at home on me lovely pc.

Here at Uncle post Production we only use Standard def and wanted to know if I could get the most from HDV and how compatible it is.

Any comments most welcome you lovely people

Currently, there is no 24f or 30f support on any of the main Avid programs, only liquid. If you upgrade to either the G1 or H1, you can use the HD-SDi outs and capture through the Adrenaline in 24f or 30f. 1080/60i should work fine though.
 
Ah, thanks loads KR.. You know your stuff.

Could I not fiddle with my footage in 1080 to achieve more or less 25f (pal) anyway? Or is it too different from that?

Or could I not import as 25p? Anyone who can shine a light many thanks in advance. Have a nice day
