XDCAM Transfer - How do I remove audio on import?

I was poking around XDCAM Transfer today importing a bunch of product shots that don't need audio, and I could not find any setting that removes it from the clip upon import so I can save some space and having to delete it in the timeline.

1) Is it possible to import XDCAM footage with no audio?

2) Can we import the file as stereo if we so choose? At the moment it's coming in as individual mono, panned center by default. That's OK for most stuff I do, but sometimes I'd just like it as a stereo file panned L&R.

Thanks

In xdcam transfer, go to the pref's and turn on importing only monitored audio channels.

and then in the information pane scroll down the bottom and un tick audio channels 1/2.

I do this all the time with XDCAM Disc.

You can only import dual mono unfortunately.

Hi again.

So it has been working for a few days to go to preferences, under the import tab - uncheck "Only import monitored audio channels". Then I go to the GENERAL tab and uncheck "Audio channels 1/2".

I have been importing files with no audio. BUT yesterday I had 2 cards full of clips. One card imported the clips w/no audio using the above method, and then the second card failed at this method. I just tried it again today and it still didn't work. I tied checking boxes to import audio, and it did, then went back to not importing audio again, and it still imported it. Odd bug in the software I think.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Upon further testing - it is only happening with one card. My Hoodman card imports w/ no audio. My SxS card imports with audio.
