XDCAM import on FCP 5

We're running FCP 5. A cameraman wants to shoot XDCAM for us on an upcoming project. Can we import the XDCAM footage like we do with P2 in FCP 5?

(It looks like no problem in FCP 6, but I'm not sure about our version)

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

XDCAM SD, XDCAM HD or XDCAM EX? The codec for XDCAM EX is only available w/a certain FCP 6 update but I'm not sure when XDCAM SD and XDCAM HD compatibility was added. You'll also need to download some drivers and an XDCAM transfer utility from Sony.

FCP 5.1.4 or greater is required for XDCAM HD. FCP 6.0.2 is required for XDCAM EX.

Do you have a source for the XDCAM HD drivers that will work with FCP 5.1.4? I can only find drivers on the Sony site for FCP 6.0.3 or higher.
