XDCAM EX Clip browser won't browse F3 clips anymore

I can use v2.6 clip browser to browse ALL my previously shot F3 footage except for some material I shot today... It recognizes the "EX" folder, but all the thumbnails preview BLACK with a small X on them.

Only thing different now is my firmware upgraded to V1.4.

The clips DO open in editing software (thankfully - nearly had heart attack)

Weird, at some point I must have installed the EX browser (hence v2.6) but for Sony F3 its xdcam clip browser 2.1 you need to run.

Trying it now, should fix my problem.

Sounds like you are using an older version of Sony's XDCAM clip management software. They have rolled the previous two apps needed into one.

Look for XDCAM Browser 2.1 in the link supplied below:

That should clear up your problem. The XDCAM clips generated from cameras using the newer firmware are now incompatible with the old clip browser.

Well the older one sure was nicer, it told you clp info such as gamma used, gain, shutter and more. The new one does none of that.

Not to mention the other clip browser would even tell me what color temperture I had dialed in. Man what a bummer. Looks like now you have to pay $199 to get the "addon" pack which probably gives you these features. Damn you Sony, damn you.
