XDCAM duplicate import

Hey Everyone,

When im importing into FCP 6 I am getting duplicates of my clips. Has anyone came across this? Any ideas why / how to avoid it. Thanks in advance.

I think it happens to everyone. It's a bug.

Until they fix it, just delete all of the clips in your bin and drag the quicktimes from the import folder into FCP.

You'll also notice erratic behavior when trying to select one of the duplicate clips, until you do this workaround.

I am not sure about this, but I noticed in the XDCAM import tool under logging/subclips, that sometimes the clips have subclips, such as when they are split across cards, other times for no a parent reason. Well if I do check/all as opposed to check/clips then it makes duplicates of the entire clips. I have not tested this thoroughly, but it does not always duplicate clips if I make sure I only select master clips. Just an idea. Will check again.
