F55: XAVC 4k on a mac

Hey,
maybe i'm missing something:
FCPX currently has problems with 4k XAVC files. sometimes it shows green transparent stripes running over the picture. mainly homogenous darker surfaces seem to trigger that ( as well as a graphiccard issue). these are not present in the original footage.

so i have to convert from resolve each affected clip( as i couldn't find a batch "convert format" feature in resolve) seperately...

any other way out there? kind of thought clip browser would do just a rewrap, but strangely when i want to export to fcp it says codecs are missing and it doesn't work ( i have no fcp7 installed)

what am i missing??

Someone on the Sony forum noticed this. While at NAB I discussed this both with Peter as well as showing a sample frame to someone from Apple. They are aware and are looking into it.

Hey Ned,
thanx for the quick response..
yeah i heard that they are working on it, problem being that i have a shoot on tuesday, with editing the following day to be finished where it should work... ;-( exporting each clip seperately from resolve eats up a lot of time ....( about 1/3rd to 1/8th realtime from preliminary tests...)
we could settle with 2k XAVC though. no problems there (strangely)...

The good news is that Peter has a direct line to somebody in the FCPX team who will address, thankfully.

And hopefully it will just be a ProApps Codec update they can push out easy, without waiting for a FCPX update, because those are few and far between. I couldn't see them releasing a FCPX bug fix any sooner than July (based on history), and that's too long.

Yep,
would be great if it only was a Proapps Codec Update...
so no other workaround??

off topic/sort of:
still i am happy to wait for the next FCPX a little longer -- if only it supports my dust-collecting Euphonix MC Color and adds Curves
and while we're at it they should buy up SliceX and integrate it...;-))
