X-Post: EDL output from Avid to Final Cut? HELP!

So I have an editor that is going to start editing my short. The catch is that he is on Avid Express(PC) and Avid Nitris HD system, while I am on final cut pro (mac)

SO, my question is, If I want to be able to import his edits timeline into a final cut pro timeline/sequence, and I have the EXACT same rough footage on my own HD (duh) than can he export an EDL that would work with my sequence?
 
I don't think that an EDL can relink to FCP footage. (Maybe someone else can chime in on that.)

But a possible solution for you would be Automatic Duck. http://www.automaticduck.com/

They make a plug-in that will let you go from Avid to FCP and vice versa.

Im just a college student... $500!?!? more than what I paid for FCP suite.

Oh well, looks like i am just screwed. Unless I can find it through some other means ;)
