WWII vet, filmed by young Evan

Whoa - expressions, the background on the vet...that really was like a small window into that man's life.

I liked that.

Saw a video of a WW2 vet once who was given a change to show how he used to use the Tommmy gun, the old Thompson. For him, straddling that old thing and letting it rip again, it looked like it was just yesterday the way he handled it. And I'm sure it felt like yesterday to him also. He nailed all of his targets dead on after the first burst. Shooting from the hip while walking. Man oh man. What his days must have been like.

My freinds father was a tail gunner in WW2. I guess he was one of the lucky ones to survive.

It's great to see recognition of these vets whenever possible.

Hell on Earth? Yeah. I'm only aware of my dads experience in France, D-Day.
poo pooing slaughter house. Pretty proud of him ofcourse.

The others, like the Spitfire pilots from Britain were just kids with 3 weeks training who often only lasted the first day.
Sent off to fight other kids. poo poo man. What a mess.

I know, here I go, but here's dad before he got in the shi* fight. Took one through the face but survived obviously.

Tough boys they were. All of them.
