I got my DVX-100B through an authorized dealer two years ago (or my wife did for me - heroic), and it unfortunately came with a tiny scratch that she didn't notice upon purchasing. I noticed it but they wouldn't repair it or exchange it... but regardless I've never seen it in any of my footage. I've kept a glass lens cover on it at all times to protect from future scratches, and besides that it's in great condition.
The Pelican Case has pluck foam, and I plucked it.... so you might need to get a replacement block, but maybe not!
Also, how do I find out how many hours are on it? I have no idea.
