WTF is this?

So, there I was minding my own, searching for pics of dogs in googleworld when I came across this. I can only hope it's a mock-up, model or something. It's probably just a grab from Pookies new film, but it sure weirds me out!

Disturbing, but still very professional art. Look at the floor behind this. Duct tape says "stay on this side and look only".

That's a very talented sculptor.

EDIT: I can't stop looking at it... that's actually cool as hell. Art is supposed to evoke something and that does.:huh:

Yeah...I came across that pic a few weeks ago as well. Freaked me out. Here's a larger pic. WTF is that? Good question...:huh:

What I like about it;

This is supposed to be an alternate life-form from a civilized culture. The furniture says that this mother is from a wealthy family or she's in a medical facility. That chair isn't something they found to put the art on, it's part of the message. It's like you should expect this thing to communicate on a level equal to our own... or that what is disturbing to us would be as beautiful as a naked woman breast feeding a child.

That's deep art. (my .02)

Its the real Manimal!!

I still remember that show sometimes. Here is some copy from IMDB (did not realize it only ran 9 episodes) :thumbsup:

This NBC TV show was David Letterman's personal favorite while working at that network back in 1983. He even paid tribute to it with a touching short film when it was cancelled. Way before its time, only nine episodes were made which makes this a terrific series to release on video. And check out the cast in the pilot! Melody Anderson, Ursula Andress, Glynn Turman! Wow! William Conrad ("Cannon") who was the announcer on the Bullwinkle show was also the announcer on "Manimal". Manimal...forgotten...but not dead.
