WTC trailer...

Actually looks good I thought. Does seem to follow the disaster film template but it is a disaster film. Hollywood isn't in the business in changing a format that has made them money in the past. Can you blame them?

Effects look top shelf. I'll see this one despite my distatste for the nick cage's acting.

Rook, I just think it looks just to stylized. Maybe I'm wrong... but if you take out all shots with planes or towers and insert an astroid. it'd litterally be the same film.

Just to comment, no politics if this thread happens to get big. thanks :)

well... I'll give this film a chance... I LOVED U93... we'll see how this compares with it in the reality aspect.

Wow, I have to admit, this looks much better than u93. I wanna see this real bad, looks like great acting to me, as long as they don't play the blame game in the movie, I'll be fine with it. In the trailer, it seems to show what we all saw, and what we all know, nothing more, and thats what I like.

Ps, is that Jay Hernandez?

Here we go with the crititical assertations before anyone has even seen it.

"Insert Asteroid!'

'I'll see it for comedy purposes!'

Come on guys; have some faith. It's Oliver Stone.

It's possible. I can't remember if that asteroid movie made money. If it did we might be seeing the same movie. However, they might just be marketing it like that. They might surprise us...stone has a habbit of being a thorn in people's side and he might take a more lefty approch to this.

I hope anyway.

And

Any Given Sunday, Natural Born Killers, Heaven & Earth, JFK, The Doors,
Born on the Fourth of July, Talk Radio, Wall Street, Platoon, Salvador ...

I think he's allowed a slip up or two. Even Spielberg had Hook.

My Quicktime HD isn't working on my office computer for some reason, even after an update and restart. Damn Apple for making me put iTunes in.

This look's cool enough (Maggie is so hot it makes me ill)

I never knew Stone also wrote:

Conan and Year of the Dragon

That's one hell of a resume. This guy will go down as one of the greatest ever.

looks too precious to me. my girlfriend watched it at work a few weeks ago. her opinion was that the trailer makes it look better than it is.

I think a lot of the credit for Conan the Barbarian goes to John Milius, although Stone was a co-writer.

btw, Milius directed The Wind and the Lion...:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I saw the preview, and I have no interest. I lived 9/11, I don't need films about it, just my personal opinion. If there was one person who would get me to see a 9/11 film it would be Stone though.

Any Given Sunday was fantastically directed. I'm an European Guy and, believe me, American Football is not even NEAR my "watchable"sports list, but he really did a fantastic job in that. However, Alexander was, shall we say, a very big let down...

Really? That was some of the worst depictions of football I've ever seen. Even the uniforms were awful. I'm not even really an NFL fan, but I know what football is supposed to be.
