I wanted to use a J-rod too! I built one for free. Its really eazy, and you can build it out of plastic or wood.

Looking for a used J-Rod for use on an XHA1.
Please PM.
After a lot of research and trying a few DIY methods I went ahead and bought a J-Rod from Jeff at http://www.thej-rod.com/.
He's a great guy and we're excited about receiving it soon... so we're no longer looking for used.

I know this was a while back, but I wanted to let everyone know that The J-Rod is now available in a few different flavors at very reasonable prices.

Thanks for the compliments men!

Jeff

Hey jeffy i wondering around your site. This is my opinion $70 for jrod is kinda expensive plus the shipping. Just wondering if you can give me and other a deal i love to get one too other than that i'm going to look for DIY kinda thing. To me $50 it playable just my 2cent

Thanks very much for checking out my site Samsung415.
I developed The J-Rod over 3 years ago because of a problem and limitation that I noticed with the camera that our company was using, the Sony Z1. Without going into to many boring details about rising costs of materials, shipping, advertising, etc. I would like to point out that although it is now costing near twice as much in materials to produce each one, the price has remained the same to the videographer. Each of The J-Rod Twin Mount brackets is hand assembled, keeping the quality level high (which is important to me, as well as the people that purchase the bracket). The EX Twin bracket is much lower in cost because it is easier to manufacture, which allowed me to keep the cost very low.

I think that you would find though that you would be happy with your purchase of a J-Rod-and I would give a full refund to anyone who purchased a bracket and found it was not right for them.

In the near future I would consider running a "DVXuser special discount" to offer users of this forum a special price. But I will need to check with Jason on that topic.

Please email me if you have any questions at jrodinfo@verizon.net

Regards.

Jeff
