WTB: Tripod suitable for an HVX200

I have a budget of $1000-2000 for a tripod that I want to start me off with, just purchased a Panasonic HVX200. And before you wear my skin as a jacket I know I know, you should spend at least 100 times on your camera for a tripod. Anyway, while I have done my homework looking at the tripod thread here, I'd say I haven't done extra credit, so I would appreciate your not suckering me into something you would not personally use as a beginner HVX user.

Hi, what good timing. I'm upgrading my tripod this week and I'm looking to sell my old one. It's a Bogen 516 head with 3193 legs, 3189 ground spreaders and the soft bag.

It retails for $1,175.95 at B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...nfrotto_5163193_3193_Tripod_Legs_Chrome_.html)

The 516 is the most affordable fluid head that bogen makes and also has the benefit of supporting up to 22 lbs, which is a must if you plan to attach rails/35mm adapter/etc in the future. I did the same research and bought it when I first got my HVX200, so obviously I think it's ideal for an HVX beginner.

So yeah, I'd guess I'd want $800 (plus shipping) for it. Let me know how this sounds to you.

I've got an extra tripod set (head, legs, spreader, and bag) I was thinking of selling, but I can't remember which model legs I've got. (It's not something I think about every day, you understand) I'll check tomorrow when I get into the office and let you know what the complete set is.

I have a Sachtler DV6 Tripod. (I actually have two); I just sold my extra set of HVX/accessories and would part with this tripod (one of the best available IMHO), with case for shipping included for $1400.00. It is almost new - very few marksof any kind.

Okay, here's what we've currently got for sale from our inventory:

Manfrotto 516 head with 515MV legs, spreader and bag. Here it is at B&H without the bag for $1,043.00:

I'm selling it with the Bogen case for $800.

I've personally used this multiple times with the HVX, and it sits perfectly atop the head. The width of the camera is the same width of the head... they look like they were made for each other. The head operates very smoothly... you won't be dissappointed.
