WTB: Sony GV-D1000 Mini DV Deck

[DVX100Shooter]

I am looking to purchase a Sony GV-D1000 MiniDV deck with low hours used on the heads.

Hi -

I've been looking as well and found a price of $999 on a new one at J&R Music World. Check on Google for best prices, if you haven't already.

i have one of the model before the 1000 that does mini-dv and i'm NOT selling it, but be careful, these things break really easy.

maybe the 1000 is better made than the earlier one...

sony will do a factory refurb for a couple hundred bucks but most of the people i have known who had them ended up sending them back to sony more than once for repairs.

if you could find a beat up one and get it repaired it might be a good deal.

i don't know how to check the hours on the heads, i'll have to double check the manual, never saw anything about that.

I've seen alot of the JVC Dual MiniDV and SuperVHS decks around on ebay for under $1000. Don't know if they are any good, but might be worth the look..

no the decks we are talking about are small battery operated models with a flip up screen.
