WTB shotgun microphone kit

I am looking for a good shotgun microphone kit for my HPX170. I don't know a lot about microphones, but it seems like a Rode NTG-2 or a Sennheiser MKH series is a good start and probably within my budget. I don't know much about the various power requirements of microphones and I do not have an external power source. I plan to hook this thing right up to my HPX170 and use a boom to place the microphone where I need it. If you have something that you're looking to sell for a good deal, send me a PM.

Basically it's the same as the Sennheiser MKH 416 with a little bit of difference

Moonraker I'm sorry to inform you that it seems like your camera doesn't provide Phantom power so if your goal is to plug it directly into your camera you'll have to buy a mic that can be powered with a battery (Rode NTG-2) or you could buy an external power source for "my" mic. But since sound doesn't seem a "huge" priority for you (not wanting a mixer and such) I think the sennheiser might be overkill for your purpose.
You could probably find a used Rode for a ~$100 or so
