WTB: Shipping from Japan?

The topic pretty much sums it up. If you're able to buy something in Japan and ship to US, I'd pay for that service. This is an easy $50 bucks we're talking or more.
 
I just got red one from Japan and the camera itself is made in Japan, not China. The lens mount is very solid as it should be. With this though, it comes with Japanese version of manual and the menu system is, of course, in Japanese.

Luckily, I can read/pronounce some Japanese so I can pretty much guess 90% of it. I have not tried the firmware update yet. I wonder if Japanese version is different from the English version.

I had this unit picked up by a friend of mine in Japan and shipped EMS to me. The total comes to about US$1,250 with warranty only valid in Japan.

Where did you buy this? Red is usually much more expensive in Japan than in the states. At least before it was.
 
Just want to clarify one thing. It is red color GH1K, not the Red One which I can not afford.

A friend of mine bought for me in Tokyo and sent it off to me. It got here in 3 days by EMS.
