WTB: Panasonic GH1 hackable

Hey everyone,

New to the forums and to DSLRs in general but with some of the footage I have seen lately I really want to get my hands dirty...With the Gh2 coming out I figured there has to be someone wanting to sell their old hacked gh1's. I have around $600 to spend (I can eat shipping) so if you want to let one go, contact me.

I will require photos showing that everything is in working order before I send any funds but once everything is settled I can do paypal, ebay, whatever really.

Hi, I just listed my GH1 (body only) yesterday here on the forum. It is in perfect, "like new" condition. I am asking $625.00 including shipping (to US only). It is not hacked. I heard about the hack but, for my purposes, I never felt the need to do it. So, I never investigated doing the hack. Can any GH1 be hacked?

I will be back in my office late this afternoon, and if you are interested, I can take photos and email them to you tonight or tomorrow. I can also give you references, I have a very established company. And I do use Paypal.

Yes, it looks like my GH1 is hackable, at least from how I understand that page you gave me. The serial number has the "9J" in it and the firmware version is "1.3" not "1.34". I think I remember Panasonic coming out with 1.34 and I never updated to that version.

Let me know if this sounds like it is hackable to you.

I have one here in the UK, currently asking $707 + shipping(about $50 to the US). It has version 1.1 firmware, is ex-display(so unused except for demo, and why it also has older firmware) in mint condition and comes with body cap, battery, and third part multi voltage(including car 12v) charger. I know it's a bit more than you have in your budget, but worth thinking about if you can't find one for a bit less in the US. And I might negotiate if no-one else bites! It is(or will be soon) for sale elsewhere as well. It is definitely hackable - I have one myself successfully hacked from a similar source. Have Paypal account and good eBay history. Good luck in the search!
