I'm new here, but have been lurking for, well... a long time. I just joined up now since I recently bought a brand spanking new TM700K.
rogar-Happy(DBG): Great camera except for that "This battery cannot be used" message when trying to use a non-Panasonic battery.
I'm hoping someone can sell me a "genuine Panasonic" used, (but preferably not totally dead) battery so I can do some experiments with it. Uhhh, also hopefully for very cheap :happy: ($5-$10 range).
My idea is to disassemble the battery, remove the original batteries (leaving circuit in place), install a connector with wires to where the original batteries connected previously, and then see if my battery pack can flow juice through the connector, through the circuit, and have the camera NOT give me the above message.
If this works, then I can use a few 47.5 Wh Sony's I currently have as external battery sources.
If anyone has any old batteries lying around, (VW-VB130, VW-VBG260) I would love to take one of someone's hand via paypal. If you're local Southern California (La Palma, Cerritos area), I can pick it up and pay cash... (that would be preferred to avoid shipping).
