I bought a 2nd hand DVX and although I got a great deal, the mic holder never came with it. Is there any option I have beside going through panasonic? They want like 75 or 90 bucks, i forget but it's expensive, for it. Any alternative?

Also looking for Barry's book and DVD. Hoping to get it for $40 shipped to boston.

Thanks

You could purchase any microphone shockmount and put it on the shoe.

Regarding Barry's book, I would suggest buying a new one because most people don't part with it once they've got it.

G'day. My dvx100 was also missing the mic holder and i too wanted to get a new one. but i foundout that it was not very good. a lot of camera noise still came through, just like the onboard mic. you are better off with a shoe mounted one anyway. Have a look at some rode stuff, http://www.rodemic.com/

You sometimes see Barry's book on ebay. i have almost bought it a few times.

This will be the second time I offered this... but you can have mine for $20. Never used it. Does that sound like a good deal? If not tell me why and I'll accomodate any real logic based on Panny's price.
