I went with the Benro S4 monopod

I had been lusting for the Manfrotto 561 for a long time, but recently read about the Benro S4. I took a gamble on the Benro S4, received it last week, and I'm very pleased with it. I tested the Manfrotto at a store the previous week, and I feel the Benro is the same quality. The S4 video head tilts as smooth as the Manfrotto head, plus it pans, which the Manfrotto head does not. Both monopods swivel at the base, but I feel the S4 video head swivel adds additional functionality. Benro offers either twist locks or flip locks (which I prefer), while Manfrotto only offers flip locks. Benro includes a bag, but I don't believe Manfrotto does. I like the quality of my other Manfrotto tripods and video heads, but in this case, I think the Benro monopod is a better value.
