WTB inexpensive camera for capture

I want to buy an inexpensive camera (can't justify the $ for a deck) to capture video shot with pd170.
I have read, and don't fully understand, but I gather that the camera must be of some quality in order to accurately capture all of the data on the tape.

I use a cheap $300 Samsung camcorder for capturing my DVX footage. It works great. MiniDV is MiniDV and quality isn't really an issue as far as capture devices are concerned. The signal will be processed the same on a cheap deck as it will with a deck costing thousands more. Hope this helps. - Chris
