I've been looking for a good deal on a DVX100B for awhile now. I've found a few sellers, but they seem to fall through. I'm somewhat limited on price -- I'm looking for something in the $1400-1500 range. I haven't really posted on these forums but I do browse often. I've bought a couple things on here and the transactions have gone through perfectly!

I don't really need extras. The only items I would be interested in are a (good quality) carrying case/bag, an extra long-life battery or two, and Barry Green's DVX book. I might be willing to go a little higher on the price if it comes with these items, but as I said, I don't have a large amount to spend.

As a side note, I'd like something with low hours on the heads. If I could keep it in the low 100s or less, that'd be great. If anyone might be able to do something for me, please send me a PM!

The only way I see this happening is if you get lucky on eBay. With persistence, you can. It took me over two months to score a deal on mine on eBay. I kept losing auctions. Then, I received a second-chance offer. I jumped. After I had paid, I received a message from the seller saying that he had made a mistake and had really wanted $100 more than what the offer stated. I said no as nicely as possible. He was still fuming after all was said and done but it really was only a difference of $91.

I paid $1859 for a DVX100B with 32 hours, the DVX book, the original battery and charger plus 3 DVXuser batteries, a Kata raincover, and a Century Optics wide angle converter lens. One of the batteries turned out to be a dud.

In these parts, I don't believe you can get a deal like that. However, with that being said, I also think it's less risky than eBay. Of course, you need to do your homework here, as well.

Of course, jason.adams just gave The DVX Book away for nothing, so who knows?

Yeah, it's definitely cheap for a 100B. I have seen a few go on here for $1700-1800 with some extras, which I might be able to swing, though that would likely be the highest I could possibly go. I'm trying to shoot for lower, though, because I still have some other expenses for a production I'm working on and I don't want to completely blow my budget.

I don't mind eBay, but I don't trust it for buying an item like a camcorder. I'd rather deal with people on here who know their stuff than a random person on eBay... if possible, anyway. I'm not counting on someone selling me a cam for 1500 with a bunch of extras or anything, but I'm hoping someone might have a decent deal at the least. Thanks for the input, though! That helps to put it into perspective a little bit on pricing.

If anyone is looking for a bit more than that, don't be afraid to PM me. I'm willing to work something out, but I really need a DVX100B. Thanks!

I have a dvx100b that has a slightly defective lcd that i'd sell you for 1350 + s/h. The lcd still works but the colors are off. And the camera only has 18 hours on it. I've been meaning to post it up here but havent taken the time yet. I could take some pics and send them to you if your interested at all. I have all the normal accesories that came with it as well and the original packaging. Thanks.

i might have one for you... the only problem i have is: Do i really want to get rid of it? heh. i'm saving up for the 3D MKII but it's always nice to have a DVX100B laying around =)

maybe you can persuade me... =P

I really appreciate the responses, everyone! Thanks for trying to help me out. However, it looks like I'm going to be purchasing a 100B from bloomsday, so unless that falls through (which seems unlikely), I should be all set.

Thanks again for the replies, though. The willingness of people to help out is what makes this site so great. I wish you luck in selling your equipment!
