WTB: DC Cable (VEK8722) for DVX100a

Hi-
Somehow, the dc cable (part # VEK8722 in the manual) that connects from the AC Adapter (the base station where your batteries get charged) to the back of my DVX100a has stopped working. When I plug it into the base station, the red power light on that station goes out. When I unplug it, the power LED immediately comes back on, and i'm able to charge batteries. So, it would appear this cable is faulty and not the ac adapter/station. Should anyone have an extra one, I'd love to take it off your hands. It's pretty essential to give power to my camera.

In the meantime, I'm off to the interweb to see if I can locate a spare one.
 
Another option; does anyone have one of these that they could spare for a few days? What I'd like to do is test to actually make sure that's the problem. I'd hate to buy one of these and that not be the issue. I realize this is a weird request. I contacted panasonic and they do have the part for sale. The only problem is that there are no returns. So, if that turns out to not be what's wrong, I'm stuck holding the bag for $30 + shipping.

So, I have 78 feedback responses at 100% on ebay. I'm totally trustworthy. I don't know what I could offer as collateral. This would just help me out. So, if anyone can spare one for a few days, that would be awesome.

Oh, I'm in New York City (Brooklyn), so local is obviously easier. However, I wouldn't be opposed to dropping this this into a bubble pack and sending it back if someone would be so kind.
