WTB: Compact Light Stands

Shot in the dark here - but I'm looking for some new (to me) compact light stands.
I'm thinking lowels, or something else like that that will collapse down to a really compact size (for travel).

Lowels fold down to an incredibly tiny size.

They also break. They aren't very sturdy, I think I've got two or three broken Lowels. But for compact size they can't be beat.

Oh I know they're not strong at all... but I've been using a lot of Vidleds on these locaiton shoots lately, and I'm getting a bit tired of toting around stands made to hold 15 or more pounds when all I need is two or three VidLeds tops on them.

As always... what is 'better' depends on the context of what you're doing.
And in this case, compactness is the most important thing to me.

By the way - how broken are those Lowels you have?

Typically a collar will break, so you lose the ability to extend that section, and you can't keep it from flinging itself forward when you're carrying it.

Check out the Bogen Avenger line of "kit" stands. They're fairly light weight but much more durable than Lowel stands.
