[WTB] WTB Canon C300 EF

I passed up the oportunity to purchase a C300 for what the owner would get trading it in on a new camera, would have had to fly to London to get it. now I wonder if anyone else is looking to trade in their C300 EF, and I would offer slightly better than you would get trading it in. Sometimes these offers actually work, I have to start shooting and am tired of waitng for my announced but not shipping cameras.

I have both bought and sold cameras on this forum, with positive feedback scores.

Hope to not hijack your post, but I'm curious. I believe you'd ordered a c100. Are you cancelling and switching to a used C300?
That's the route I've been considering but it's really hard to find an EF C300 and wonder what the going price is (now that Sony's declared war)?
 
Not sure about C300 prices but RED Scarelt prices are dropping like a rock, just offered a shooting REdD Scarlet X kit, more than brain, for a little more than $7k.

here is the problem: When the F5 ships C300 prices will drop a lot since the F5 is clearly superior for same price. So, is buying a C300 a decent investment until prices drop?
 
Also worth considering, if Canon comes through with the rumored significant firmware update (like, alternative internal codecs, 60 or 120fps, and/or wfm in EVF, ect.) the C300 may hold it's ground in regard to price, new or used.
I'm falling less and less infatuated with the C100. It's easy to see that Canon has held back on features with this entry C, to protect the 300.
 
Interestingly, there don't seem to be too many C300s on the secondary market (just my observation, as someone looking to potentially get one). It makes me wonder...did either a) people not buy them or b) people who bought them are keeping them? This is pure conjecture but I'd guess that it's the latter; those who bought the C300 are very happy with it and not looking to jump to the next camera...yet.
 
I'd be interested in knowing the market for used C300s.

Out of all the C300s we've ever sold, only one buyer that i know of has sold off the C300 in order to use something else.
 
There have been several C300 PL's on ebay and the forums recently (with hefty depreciation), but it appears very few are willing to part with their EF's : (
It appears the owners are really happy with them. Also, it appears folks regret going the PL route.
 
May I ask, to what camera and why? (I'm guessing a scarlet, and you do primarily cinema type work, really just a hunch??)

Thanks for making me aware of this. This guy has only a few sales on eBay, and when you try to make a bid PayPal says it will not process, and protect you. Scary. Very scary after hearing stories of people who do small transactions to geta few feedback scores and then does a big fraud. Not saying this is the case here but I share that fear with your spicy sense.
