WTB: Camcorders for Live Streaming ( Preferably canon 1" sensor or similar)

Hi there!

I am on a budget to buy another camera for live streaming. I am looking at an easy camcorder (fixed lens ok) that would have a sensor not too small. The setup includes already a c300 and c70 so I would love to stay in the canon environment...

I thought about a c100 if I can get a really good deal on one... ( funny I am going back to a camera I own almost 10y ago and sold then, only to look for one today :) )

But I would consider also camcorder with fixed lens, ready to go, 1080p minimum, HDMI needs to be clean ( this is a must) like Vixia G40 and G50 maybe...

This is really on a budget, so I am looking for people who might have older camcorders and want to clear their shelves...

PM me if you have something that could work.

Thank you!

Both of those Canons above have tiny sensors, but the latest from that series which I actually always recommend to people - the G60 - has a 1" sensor and is an excellent system with DPAF.

Maybe it's out of your budget, but well worth the used investment if this is a reoccurring gig for an extended period of time.

Maybe also check out the XC10...there's one for $1200 at B&H right now.

As far as mirrorless cameras, the Canon M6 Mark II has better quality than all of them for $850 (brand new) but only in 4K. (It also has DPAF.)

---

On a side note, the issue you may have going too old in the camcorder department is you may see the softness compared to your other two when switching. (The C100 is obviously old too but it is a better camera than older camcorders, which are always behind cinema and mirrorless cameras.)

Thank you! Help is always very much appreciated!

yea I saw the g60, but it was out of my budget by far, for now. But I’ll definitely keep it in mind though!
