Do you have a busted up F3 with an RGB key?

If so I'm your buyer i will pay 100usd plus shipping
for your broken F3

Must still power on,
can have broken viewfinder and screen

Also will need RGB keys PIN
 
Oh hey, a fellow kiwi! But I'm at the other end of the country, in Auckland.
I have a PMW-F3 as well (but keeping my RGB update!).

Wouldn't be surprised if many F3 owners have forgotten their pin, however most of the time it probably is just the default pin.

I'm living in Christchurch now, its been a while since I was on DVXuser, yeah i wish I have double checked the limitation's of the F3 without the RGB update, I've shot a number of shorts of the F3 so when one came up on trademe i grabbed it..... man, I think the cheapest combination would be the Blackmagic Video Assist and an F3 with RGB 60FPS 10bit !!!

Anyways, if you hear of someone wanting to unload their's let me know!
 
You can still get ProResHQ slog out of the F3 without the RGB upgrade, which is perfectly good enough indeed for what I do anyway.

So it isn't the end of the world if you can't find yourself a RGB upgrade key.

Personally I'm using a Samurai Blade at the moment with my F3, as I purchased my F3 before the BMD VA came out.

May I ask what price you got it from TradeMe at?
 
I've said it before but WTH Sony...just give out that RGB key for these old cameras. Hell, you give slog away with every other camera. Beyond silly IMO.
 
Yeah, I'm familiar with the using Slog with the picture profiles, its the 50p/60p 3G that I'm after, the slowmo options give this this camera a longer future i my mind, paid 1800 it included a Nanoflash with I've since sold, I'm looking for a 10bit recorder but would prefer one that can take 3G so 1080 50/60p
 
Yeah its a sad thing, I contacted Sony Techs/Reps, but they said they were always special order keys, the software to make those cards has got to be out there ay
 
guess Sony doesn't sell RGB upgrade anymore, and if they did, assuming it would have the last known $800 retail price?
