WTB: Bogen 501/503 Head

I never liked the 501, then a new head came out that was like a mini 503 called the 701rc2 a few years ago. I tried it out and it was pretty smooth with a counterbalance built in. I took the head apart and removed the lubricant and made my own mixture of a epoxy and vasoline (just one tube of epoxy so it doesn't have a chemical reaction) and gently out a moderate amount back were the old lube was.

THE RESULT: An extremely nice, smooth as silk head for cheap. I can't believe the quality of this head after this mod. It is rediculouly good with no hesitation or lag and fantastic results.

I also moddified the handle with a LANC remote found on ebay that controlls the cam and makes the handle longer for more precise moves.

Sorry for ranting, but I can't say enough about this head after fixing it up a bit.
