I have a 503 Head and a set of aluminum Cartoni Action Pro legs. One of the screw on rubber feet are missing (it unscrewed), but besides that, the sticks are in great shape. I have 2 camera plates and a manfrotto soft bag. The kit has no mechanical flaws, and no major cosmetic flaws. If you are interested in it, make me an offer. Why don't you try to get a Libec LS 38, which is a far better tripod then the 503 or 501.

It's rated at 13.2 lbs but I wouldn't use a rig more than 10lbs. Not recommended for adaptor work IMO, though some folks here have done so and lived to tell a few good words.
