I wrote AVI2 format onto a citidisk at 720p6o from my hvx200, now cant get it into any editors or converters on pc or mac. surely I am missing something. i get codec errors.

Edius 4 Broadcast should accept them, it has no problem with DVCProHD AVI2 files from DV Rack HD.

I am supposed to be able to see the video on teh HVX200 over the 1394 port but it is playing back into the camera green flashes. I upgraded the firmware on the Citidisk HD and hope that hasnt screwed the footage up. Its still present in its folder.

You could download the trial version of Edius 4 Broadcast and install it on a PC somewhere or run it under Bootcamp, load the file into it, and then output to a format that is more agreeable to FCP, like QuickTime.

that may be what I need to do.
anything but this wacky format.
I'm sticking to mov for now on.

I ahve a KONA HD system also. Too bad that cant deal with this.

GOt it.
I used Matrox DVH1 codec from a board I found and obtained a copy of Adobe Primer pro 2 and I am now able to see these videos and convert them to a lesser format.

I copied these all off to a faster machine and it wasnt too long after that the CITIDISK bit it and now wont even start up right.
