My DVX102BE (PAL) has operated great for 3 years now, but since some months it has problems during the output signal with firewire.
Normally it puts out a 720x567 pixels, normal SD format.
Sometimes it switches to 1280×576 pixels...
The image appears stretched.
I guess it has something to do with using Premiere Pro CS5. When I use Final Cut Pro, it just captures normal SD format all the time. When I capture live (direct from the DVX to my Mac) with CS5, then this 'format switch' happens in between capturing.
Might this problem be caused because I took my DVX apart a couple of times? (to fix broken lens barrels, or LCD screens that broke, common accidents that occur when filming skateboarding).
or is this a software malfunction? Or something to do with the internal DV terminal being damaged?
Or do I just need to reinstall CS5?
I want to know this for sure, because I want to start using a DTE recorder soon, and this might be a problem when it is a defect in the DVX.
