I kid not! Now if that isn't downright freaky and cool nothing is!

Yeah, most certainly! Apparently it's boxed off via plexi-glass these days but it was originally open during the world fair (where people seem to have played with the material).

Suggestion....if they ever taket that glass off...try standing on it...you wont sink. It's amazing...throw an iron on there too..wont sink.

But....dont step on it...cuz it will like burn your shoe...unless u wear anti mercury boots.. lol

The "Fundacio Miro" is located in Barcelona. It must be interesting to see this fountain.

Btw, i didn't know that Calder was doing this kind of things...

I was all psyched to see some grand return of my father's car brand.

"Whoa cool the new Mercury Fountain!"

If I had that fountain I'd tell everybody that I beat the T3 and that's what I did with him.

LOL Matt

Yeah that is pretty neat... that's crazy that it was once open.

Are you sure that mercury fumes are lethal in that state?

Hey I was just in that museum a few months ago, and I didn't remember seeing that fountain. I guess you can't really see everything in a museum. But they did have lots of weird **** there.

I'm not entirely sure dj200423. I know they can be lethal - and would be in this case since they build up inside the glass housing (and tech guys would have to wear some ventilation gear at the very least). I know it's at least possible to cause brain damage with lesser amount of fume.

When I was in 5th grade, some kid brought a small glass vial of mercury to school. At the time, I had never seen or heard of mercury. He would pour the contents out on his desk and play with it barehanded like it was Slime® or some other kinda toy.

I wonder if he's still alive? I wonder if my dain bramage stems from my close proximity so many years ago?

The mercury could be absorbed into your skin pours..then into your blood...then your screwed for life!!

My dad used to play with mercury all the time at school in the 60s. He's perfectly healthy right now.

Weird. Did we go to the same school?
