WOW long day!

My wife has been running a naming contest since we got married and we still don't have kids yet.
 
Thanks for all the well wishes. I just woke up and my mind is totally blank. I keep looking at her picture. Probably overthinking it - just want a name thats as perfect as she is.
 
Ok so the young lady has a name. Felt sorry for her, so I decided before today is out she would have a name.

There were names floating back and forth and the final outcome was

Mei (pronounced May) - meaning to sprout life.

Actually befored you mentioned it Charli was a consideration. My grandfather was a Charles and my middle name is charles. I thought Charli would be nice.

There were two issues. An ex girlfriend called Charli - whilst we had a bad break up years ago, I of course dont harbour any ill feeling toward her these days - just hate to think Id be reminded of her calling my daughters name.
The other is - not sure what you call this to me - but my sisters, sister in law has a daughter called Charlize and I thought Im getting a bit close as we do tend to see them a bit back in Aus.

My wife liked the name Meg, sadly I didnt at all. But I thought, well, something a bit inbetween it all and Mei hit me which I presented to the council for approval and happily it was.

When I first said it, it suited her. So am happy about that.

Sadly at this moment I have been up since 3 am with, hmm Ill hold the details, lets just say Ive been sitting in a small room on a porcelain contraption all night.
 
Noel - that's cool at least Charli was a consideration. Mei is nice. You'll end up calling her O Mei!
