very nice stuff man. So you just slowed your footage down to get 24p?
I wonder if you could interpret 30p as 24p, insert into a 24p timeline, and then speed up the footage in your timeline.... Still don't know how to do 24p from 30p on PC.
Thanks,
I actually converted via HDlink. There is an option to convert to 25p from 30p and make sure the audio is in sync. It takes seconds and I like the results, editing with Prospect in CS3 is a joy. Footage is so light and easy to edit, I think it's an optimal way to go as of now on the PC.
Ghehe, I am in North America , I'm pretty sure it just slows it down but you'd have to ask David Newman on the DVinfo board. He'd probably be better to elaborate on Cineforms frame rate conversion process as I'm not 100% sure, so I won't try to eloquently lie
I like the 25 fps look Cineform outputs and it matches audio as well; so one less hassle to worry about. I tried the 24p conversion process in FCP but it was a bit too much for me as I don't really fret about the Frame rates. Will wait for the 24p firmware upgrade until then, you've seen the Cineform 25p result; it'll more than due for me for now.
