Wow. A 150 with 15,000 hours on it.

Saw this for sale. Can you imagine if this had been a camera with a tape transport? No way would it have gotten to the same hours without the tape assembly having been replaced many times.

That's my favorite thing about solid-state cameras. The lack of expensive repair jobs after the sale. I use to keep a little shop in Boston in the black by sending my Sony cams to them back in the day. I imagine they are seeing a decrease in repair jobs due to these cams as well.

I suspect that this camera was used in a studio environment and was on all the time. ( 638 days shooting 24 hours a day )

My HMC 150 shows 14,850 hours on it... But it definitely DOES NOT have that many hours of use. In fact... It would be literally impossible for that much operation time in the span of my ownership of the new camera. It is definitely a glitch, and has cost me a lot of money in my attempts to resale the camera.

Mine was showing the hours of operation fine until I lent it out to a friend. It came back saying it had 99999h on it. The only thing she does differently is set the camera to "free run," where I always set it to "rec run" and reset the time code with each shoot. I was a little dismayed by that to say the least- it was showing about 1,600h before I lent it out. The camera is fine, works the same, but now I have NO idea how many hours it has on it.

Its a known bug, I think updating the firmware or sending back to panasonic may fix the problem.. There are threads about it on here somewhere..
