wouldn't this be nice?

This may or may not have been mentioned before but...

On the HVX, wouldn't it be nice to have the option to delete a clip right after you shoot it? Like a digital SLR, you could delete a clip after you shoot it if you didn't want it for some reason. I shoot a lot of action sports and this would be a great feature to have. Sure you can just go into the VTR and do this, but, it would save the hassle of having to look through all the clips. Could panasonic offer something like this on future models? it would really save space and time depending on what you are shooting.

You could use the clip mark function to mark clips for deletion and delete them all at once. Better than switching back and forth, anyway.

I believe this is on the user recommendations in the sticky in the HVX news section.
There is a 'Delete Last Clip' function on the camera - but like you mentioned it's not very quick.
Ideally they could map that function to one of the user buttons.

It's on the 'list' - #53. Delete Last Clip function assignable to a user button.

You might want to check out these stickies -

Ya, you could do that. I think this would be a benefit and allow for having longer shooting times by getting rid of bad clips right away. When shooting live action stuff, the 5 extra minutes or more that you may gain would be very nice to have. Especially if you have no control over when everything happens. I'm thinking that this would be nice for more along the lines of sports photography.

There's no delete-last-clip function on the HVX; it'd be a nice addition and we'd love to see it added. It only takes a few seconds to jump over to MCR mode to delete the last clip, maybe 8 seconds, but even so it'd be more convenient to have a one-button-press (with confirmation!) function.
