Would you pick up another hackable GH1 if you already have one?

I already have one that's hackable, it's waiting for me in my home country while I'm away for several months. Now here, I have an opportunity to pick up another used in fairly good condition for less than $500. I've already decided to buy the GH2 when it comes out, so what do you think? If you were in my position, would you pick up another one? It's not a serious affair, but considering the price...

That's what I was thinking. Just have a go and play with one right now and later decide to sell the other one on fleabay. But it doesn't look like on fleabay, the GH1 is selling like pancakes anymore. Looks like people have high expectations for the GH2.
 
GH1 are going for very cheap over here in Taiwan at the moment. You can pick one up on the gray market for 10,000 ntd or around $330 usd.

I don't expect the price to go any lower. $330 is soooo cheap I am going to pick up a 2nd camera, I figure it might come in handy.

If were you , I will buy a second hackable GH1. It's hard to find now. I myself have one GH1 and plan to buy a hackable GF1 as a backup cam.

bitcrusher, are those GH1 cameras in Taiwan hackable though? Do they sell them on ebay?

Anyway, I contacted the seller a little bit too late and someone else has picked it up. No big lose. The GH2 should be a great camera.
 
I remember when you used to debate over which camera is better for you. Fast forward, you end up getting 3 altogether.

The GH2 is looking like the way to go, and if you are not using a 2nd camera or don't need a back up, then even a cheap GH1 is a wast of cash.

There are still hacks available out here but its in gold or red. I am thinking about getting one and doing a IR mod to it, IR video with a m4/3's sensor should be neat. You can find the GH1's out here on a site called ruten.com but its really just a tease as shipping and all the communication hassles are not really worth it. http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21011038776725

The debate I had was when I was first buying, and the hack did not exist. Before the hack. Canon's were better... after the hack, GH1.3 destroys the canon.. just destroys it. No questions asked... no agonizing comparisons needed. Simply shoot a wide shot of the city in 24p, then project on a large projection system, then easily watch yourself throw out or sell your canons to a photographer as you do film work with the panasonics. That simple.
