Would you buy this used 5dmk2?

So here's the situation I'm in. I'm currently shooting a documentary with a HMC150 and a Canon 60d. I do not need another camera. Nor am I currently overflowing with extra cash. BUT, I do plan to keep shooting other projects after this, and I've really liked the 60d. I know the 5dmk2 shoots great footage, and sooner or later, I did want to upgrade to a full frame sensor.

Like I said, I don't NEED anything now, but I ran across someone selling a used 5dmk2 today for around $1000, and it includes in that price:
f2.8 24mm Lens - Perfect Condition
f1.8 50mm Lens - New
1x FD Manual Focus 135mm f.3.5 Lens - Old, but only slight signs of wear
1x EF to FD Lens Adapter - Perfect Condition
1x Battery - Perfect Condition
1x 16GB CF Card - Perfect Condition
1x 4GB CF Card - Perfect Condition

It's fairly old, bought in 2008, but assuming that it works well and the dude isn't lying (I would have a chance to inspect and test the camera before buying) this seems like the kind of deal that's too good to pass up, no?

My only other thought is that I've heard Canon may be coming out with a newer version of the 5d that's more video friendly sometime in the quasi-near future. Since I don't urgently need a 5d now, and I don't have a ton of money, it might make sense to wait until then...except that that camera, whenever it might come out, would presumably cost at least 3x this price and not include any lenses....

Not sure if the dude has already sold it, but in case he hasn't....what would YOU do?

2008 sounds more like a 5D mk1 which does not shoot video. The 5D2 was announced on 17 September 2008 and started shipping sometime later, so I suppose it's possible it's a mkII, but even so $1,000 is way too cheap for a mkII and all that gear. What's the catch?

Check how many shutter actions its done they are only good for 150000

Seller says it's taken about 6,000 photos. But is there a way to check that? I don't know DSLR super well yet; I know on video cameras there's usually an unchangable meter of how long the camera has recorded for...

Ask them to take a raw photo and send you it. Within Photoshop/Bridge you can find the number of actuations. There is also free software on the web that extracts it form the raw files.

even if it shot many pics i would take it,whats the obsession about shutter actuations, some people treat it like number of days to die.

Chances are it's HOT. For that price seems their trying to move it quick. If it's to good to be true it probably is!

Wait for the new one. It's to good to be true. It could be Hot and you can come up or they can be hard on some cash. Just wait mk iii is coming.....
