Would this be good to teach with in Vietnam?

I am purchasing some cameras for my college students to go out shooting with in Vietnam. These students are learning video production and will be transporting these cameras around on their motorbikes. Any suggestions?

I’m thinking about getting the AG-DVX102BE with an extra battery and Libec TH-650DV tripod. I also wanted to get a hard case for the students. But I think a hard shelled backpack makes more sense as they never take cars anywhere. Any suggestions? I still need to find a supplier in Vietnam.

Have you thought about attaching bags to the bike? The DVX is a fantastic device. I am doing a shoot through Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam this spring. The biggest thing is to protect it from the elements.

I did a 1 week shoot in Cambodia. During winter dust is a big issue, during summer humidty is a big issue. I used the Lowepro computrekker. http://www.topshot.fi/img/products/3637.jpg

It fits the DVX perfectly with room for much more inside.

Highly recommended.

Hard cases are awkward to open on field shoots. And grit gets easily stuck in and on the bag.
