The instruments these schools have aren't the best quality. They're usually always out of tune with each other and generally beat up pretty good. And probably a first or second year class.
 
Too bad about the lack of video in my youth, but I have a confession to make - Not only do most 6th grade bands (and orchestras) make one struggle not to laugh, but sometimes elementary choirs attempt to sing things like "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" in all seriousness.

There. I'm glad I got that off my chest.

Yea, I've had problems playing YouTube videos linked into the posts since the maintenance a few days ago. Easiest solution is to click "Reply With Quote," copy the text between the YT brackets in their post, and then type into the URL browser "youtube.com/watch?v=" and paste the text.
 
First, all elementary school bands suck. Even when I was in high school for music class, I'm sure we weren't any better. I would hate to have heard our performance from the audience's side. Hey, maybe I'm wrong, but I bet you there are many school bands/classes like that.

Second, why are they laughing? I mean what do they expect from kids of this age? I dunno, I don't see the humor in this. Sure it's funny, if it were adults that think they're good at what they do...
