Oh my God! I can't believe I forgot about one of the worst big studio films of the last 20 years... no, not Armaggedon. Not Gigli...
Tim Burton's "Planet of the Apes." What a mess in every way. Terrible script. Terrible direction. Terrible movie.
I completely agree with Stas. Burton's POTA was a spectacular mess. It was exceedingly bad in every category. The awfulness lingered for months after I saw the film.
Planet of the Apes was as crap as as it gets. What a freakin let down; talk about a great idea turned into pure shite. Burton outgha be ashamed. The entire movie sucked. I walked out almost embarrassed for going to watch it.
Can't believe Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man is on here!!!
"Better to be dead and cool then alive and uncool." - classic.
It is almost impossible to rate worst film ever as bad films to good films is like 20 to 1.
One that sticks out is Gummo. To me it's like a kick in the nuts as a filmmaker, someone gives the guy who wrote Kids money, and we get 2hrs of whatever the **** that was supposed to be. If anyone says on here it's a good film and you liked it- automatically in the "you are deranged bracket".
Watched the str8 to video Wild Things 2. I am ashamed yes. Take my warning, do not watch.
Battlefield Earth pretty well takes the cake. It is in the same category as Planet of the Apes. Big budget nothing else.
hmmm... hard one.
I'd go with matrix: reloaded (yes i hate that movie)
and that movie with antonio banderes and lucy liu...
equalibrium i think it was called? have any of you seen this movie? i cant even begin to describe the horror.
You are talking about Eks vs. Sever. Equilibrium is a really cool show with Christian Bale, kind of a Matrixesque show but with a story that is understandable, and some killer cinematography.
Eks vs Sever is by far one of the worst shows ever made, totally forgot about it. It was shot in Vancouver... and took place here, made the city seem so fake and lame. How something that bad gets greenlighted is beyond me. Another **** movie shot in Vancouver was Paycheck. Is it just me, or has John Woo lost it, his movies aren't good any more... which makes me remember the worst show I've ever seen...
Windtalkers.
Stupidest movie ever. Huge budget flop with the weakest premise for a movie. With weak historical references. The worst part if anyones seen it was that they used stock footage of gunships firing missles onto onshore targets. It's like footage from ww2 that they just put in for that one moment in the film, like they ran out of money and couldn't shoot it themselves. That and from what I got out of the movie they should have just had Nicholas Cage fight the entire army by himself as he was tougher than freakin Rambo.
John Woo is another director where I just dont see it; his action scenes remind me of the 'A Team.' Windtalkers could have been cool (hell, any WW2 has a chance at being cool) but when you throw in the ****ing A TEAM battle sequences....
but I figured I'd get fricassee'd. But seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a watchable John Woo film (with the possible exception of Face/Off). Most of them are brilliant action sequences within terrible movies (like Broken Arrow).
I think I totally here you John(tell me if I'm wrong). You are talking about scene after scene after scene where we see one shot of soldier A shooting or throwing grenade, then the next shot is of soldier B either receiving the shot or the explosion. Like Hannibal leaning out the back of the van tossing grenades, then the next shot shows the jeep doing a triple lutz.(Only difference between Windtalkers and the A Team is everyone survives every horrible explosion on the A Team even if it be nuclear.)
ps. I love the A Team. It is the funniest show on television, so poorly made, I thought it was just the **** when I was young, then watching it now I don't know how it could possibly make it on TV. But man is it funny, how they find a way to lock up the A Team in a mechanics shop, garage, wearhouse etc with everything you'd need to make a tank in every episode is priceless. And Decker will have fifty armed soldiers, but if Face lets off one warning shot they all drop their weapons and surrender. Best show on TV.
so i would agree with the movies that gf drag you to, but i would have to say otehr than those movies, E.T. i mean what's up with the FBI dudes coming through the window like they're mummies? and u want reallism? how can you go from an "alien" to a plastic looking toy and then have him be able to heal anyone with the wave of a finger? i mean come on, that aint real. i straight up can't stand it. but im sure there will be pleanty more bad movies to come
