I like Magnolia.
I personally love the frog scene, it was my favorite part of the film.
Most film maker's try sooo hard to make films believable,
like fine art before "art for art's sake", all arists wanted to do was to mimic or base their art on reality.
the frog scene wasn't belivable or anything, but I thought it worked very well for the film. All those chaotic stories happening, and the frog scene was so powerful that it broght all those stories together. I think the frog scene based on the bible, and alot of symbolism to it.
My P.T Anderson's favorite film is Punch Drunk Love.

But the worst film I've ever seen (and there are many "worst films" on my list... )? The aptly named "Very Bad Things." Reprehensible.
Oh, sweet Jeebus -- I had put that one out of my mind. Arrrrrgh!

WOW, Magnolia is one of the best American films ever made and maybe the best film of the decade.
John Hudson,
I totally respect your opinion
It is just a matter of personal taste, like some people prefer Maria Callas, some prefer John Coltrane and some prefer Jimi Hendrix, bottom line is that they are all amazing!
Oh, and they filmed "Queer Eyes for Straight Guys" right in front of my house(Williamsburg, NY) last month, and they blocked the entire block for a week for shooting. I couldn't park my car in front of my house for a week!!!
Are we talking the "worst" of the mainstream Hollywood films? If not, and we're talking any and all features you've ever seen, then every film mentioned here is an Oscar winner compared to the worst films I've ever seen.
Contact? If that's the worst, consider yourself very very very lucky.
I saw a screening of a film executive-produced by Moby called PORNO, about a group of "clerks" (yes, it's an homage) that work in a porno shop. It was so bad (Moby dances around in the movie wearing a diaper, and has dildos strapped to his head) that he's sued to prevent it from being released.
OK, here are by far the 2 worst films ever made, I mention 2, because they are tied. What do you think?
"Tango and Cash" and "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man"
The first one I actually paid 1.50 to watch it in a theatre, I was so out of the place in the first 15 minutes. Does anyone agree?
