Worst Film I've ever seen in my life. Shot on RED.

I wonder what they were thinking while editing. (Can I call it editing?)

Got to be one of these, right?

"This is awesome!" or "What have we done?! Oh, god! WHAT HAVE WE DONE!!!!???!!!"

I don't mind poking fun at bad cinema. But I do give them props because they made a feature. It's easy to burn through money even on a no budget feature just for gas, duct tape, props, clothes at the good will, etc. It takes a lot of work to complete a project like this, so kudos to them for making a feature and finishing it.

Wow, they did more then a lot of people on this forum filming videos in the park with their new camera hack patches looking for varying noise levels between 320 and 400 ISO ever will.

Which ended up in a yard sale and would have never even been seen otherwise, so, I guess they get props for wasting everyone's time?

EDIT: Nevermind, the titling on the YouTube video is very confusing. For all, the title of this film is The Time Machine (I Found at a Yardsale).

LOL...They didn't find it at a yard sale. The title of the movie is 'The Time Machine I Found at a Yard Sale'. I made the same initial assumption.

It's interesting how we've got people who complain that none of the feedback here on DVXuser is worth anything because everyone is always effusive with their praise and won't actually criticize anything, and there's another group of people who object to anyone criticizing anything.

If you're getting nasty to someone personally, like people were (repugnantly so) to Rebecca Black, that's one thing. But this? What are people supposed to do, say it's well-done? It's just plain not, and they put it out there for everyone to see.

Amazing. Clearly these guys are pretty clever. I have no doubt that every second of this film is deliberate. It's actually really hard to purposely make a campy film. You have to play it honestly, which I think these guys did. The discussion here is exactly where they wanted to take this. Gagnam style anyone?

Riiiiight..... And only took being posted on youtube for the "limited time" of 14 months for us to fall into their little trap. Yes, they are clever little devils, aren't they?!

So what? Someone made an underground film. Thousands of these kinds of films are made every year all over the world.
It's the world we live in now, where everyone and anyone can make a film, and there are loads of underground film festivals where these sort of films are shown all over the world.
This is what I've been trying to say on this forum for a long time, if you make a feature film for under 100 000 USD, this is the sort of thing people will think you have made.

I don't know, maybe you can make some kind of masterpiece for the kind of money and time these people invested, but you'll still have a hard time convincing people of it.

Think of it as amateur theater, only now it comes in the form of a film released on YouTube.
Nothing wrong with that, nothing bad with that. But if you're making low or micro-budget features, you will be grouped with this.

I'm sure these guys worked really hard on this film, and they deserve tons of respect for finishing it. Few people do, compared to how many try.

According to IMDB, the "Actors Theater Production Company" produced "The Winter's Tale" in 1967, "The Dark of Night" in 2000 =- and now this? Something doesn't quite add up. Why would anyone with access to a Red not know basic framing and use an on camera mic? There are a couple of things I like: The infamous orange juice scene, which will come in handy next time I'm wide awake at 2 AM and need some shuteye, and the color starting at 11:16 is much improved.

I just put my own feature out there for all the world to see today (embedded on threads in user films and AF100 page) and was bracing myself for the opinions, as the budget is similar to this one. However , after looking this one over, and assuming it's not intentionally campy, I'm feeling a bit better about myself...
