World first hdr music video made with the gh13

Today 3D is fashionable and cg is inescapable but an other way to consider picture is coming, HDR or High Dynamic Range.
I used this process on "Actif-Passif" music video of the singer Philippe GOUNEL during about one week of work.

It's got to be multiple cameras in burst modes and then assembled as HDR, just like the 5d examples on vimeo...
 
?? but the angle? sorry man i know i'm being a six-year old but that is gorgeous stuff. but it's video? these are photos? i don't get it.
 
There was a video posted a couple of months ago on vimeo about hdr video. I can't remember off hand how it worked, but I will try to dig the link up tonight. It does look awesome!
 
It's a post effect I think, judging by his grading test video. Unsharp masking, I suspect. Course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong and he's infact made a most awesome HDR video rig...
 
I think the problem with a lot of those rigs is there's no way to sync frames with most of these small cameras. I'm thinking he used a different technique, like exporting as an image sequence, bumping up exposure on one set of images, then tone mapping for a pseudo-HDR look, but I could be wrong. That'd be cool to try with a GH13 hack and motion jpeg.
 
I have been looking into this rig for days. I got a link to a beam splitter for EOS slr, but it doesn't make sense to me. There is no info on a DIY of this setup I've found. I am bent on doing this at least once. I like it. And I found some other HDR that looked gimmicky, this video was so tastefully treated I think. Which leads me to believe that it's a certain amount of control. I wanna do this. Next paycheck I'm going nuts on it. I will need 2 cams. And I'm wondering if both mounts are screwed to this thing with one lens only? Or do both cameras have lenses on them and those point into the thing? One lens would be cool, youd ensure same settings, and the thing splits it straight to the sensor? I have no clue. IT's frustrating there's very little about it. Or I'm not looking the right way or enough.
 
I think one solution is using photoshop filter by TOPAZ LABS called TOPAS ADJUST 4 (its for "fake" hdri looks - dynamic contrast effect) .... frames was exported to some bitmap format and batch automation inside photoshop made this effect (action using this topaz plugin).

here is screenshot which I made for explanation. Many image tweaks are possible with this plug ... after few minutes you can reach very close look like this video. My example use only one from default presets.

Downloading the trial to Topaz. Need to figure out how to apply/save action in photoshop and take video back and forth from there. This should be fun, but I'm not sure it'll be the same as two cameras, I'm sure it's psychological, if I find out that video was done with post and one cam it would change things in my head.

Again, other HDR stuff has been gimmicky, this looks like a Norman Rockwell painting...
