working with RAW dng files (frame rates)

I am importing my raw dng's into after effects. Then I drop them on a time line and it defaults to 30fps. I usually shoot everything and edit in 29.97. If I make a time line that is 29.97 and drop my 'pictures' that import as a video onto it, will I need to do anything or check anything to ensure I don't get a dropped or missed frame somewhere. I still don't fully understand the 29.97 dropped frame and non dropped, but I believe everything else I've always done has been 30 fps dropped frame (which would then be 29.97?) Does it really matter :-)

For After Effects, just import your DNG sequence then goto top menu: 1) File 2) Interpret Footage 3) Main. In there you can re-interpret your footage to 29.976 or whatever frame rate you want. It does not cause issues as I do this all the time.

I believe the FS700 does not record at true 24 or 30fps, but at 23.976 or 29.97 fps, so it will be fine.

I usually work at 23.976 and lots of time for B-Roll I will shoot it at 29.97 and interpret the footage to 23.976 and get this nice, subtle slow motion feel. Of course audio won't sync if you do this, but if it's MOS it's fine.
