Working in Post Sound

Long time reader, first time poster.

So I shot my film with the HVX at 720p24 DVCProHD with audio going staright into the camera (without a mixer). I cut it in FCP 6.0.2 with a frame rate of 23.98 fps. That frame corresponds to the clips frame rate when I imported the video.

We are done editing picture (hooray), now into sound. I created an OMF, exported video at lower Standard Def DV quality (same frame rate 23.98) and sent it to our sound folks. This is the problem.

Our sound editor is using ProTools LE. The OMF imported at 24 fps and the video at 23.98. The ProTools setting only had 24 and 23.976 fps. He has had issues with syncing.

Our composer is using Digital Performer and she is having a similar issue. Although with her, we set the frame rate to 29.97 ndf, and the film was in sync, but the TC didn't match. It isn't a huge deal, I don't think, since she can go by the visual TC burn in.

Does anyone have any experience with this? The final mastering will take place in FCP to go to tape - DVCProHD. Can I convert my Final Cut sequence to 24 fps and then give it the sound people. Will their stereo audio files match my sequence at 23.98?

Thanks in advance.
