Hey Everyone,
Scoured the message board before posting, so sorry if this specific setup has been detailed somewhere else (I'll gladly take a reference link).
A short film I'll be posting is starting to shoot this weekend using the HVX and a Firestore/P2 combo setup. I'll list my workflow below and take any suggestions people might have as the camera settings to use.
- Posting using Avid Media Composer
- Final output will be DVC Pro HD Tape for HD and DVD/Mini-DV for SD.
- Content is a Narrative film, shot documentary style.
- Know I'm going the 720p route, just don't know what framerate will best serve the final output and Avid capabilities.
I was wondering what you all think I should have my DP set the camera up for. I know there is an aesthetic difference between Film and Documentary style TV, but if not for cost this movie would be shot on film, so I know the Director/DP want the "film look".
